A great simple day out

Hey there! Shout-out to all members of the planet earth! TGIF!!! TGIF!!!!!! May you all have a blessed and happy weekend ahead after all the previous tough weeks you've worked so hard for :) Major UTs, lifesaving competitions, dragging up your heavy bottoms for school and work and play, stressing your brains out to fork out money to pay your bills, etc...

We fellow RP lifesavers had our training as early as 10.30am today in the RP pool and Coach also came down to train with us as usual. Rope throw, swimming, diving, posing for photos in the pool, LS 123, and even a few games of water polo by the 'hunks' in our IG :). Well....... all went well except that we started training at 11 instead of the agreed time 10.30. LOL can't be helped.. Some of us were really shagged the day before yo!

All of us were freaking hungry after our training because many of us didn't have breakfast! Busy people to busy to have breakfast man...

We cabbed down to Jurong West and ate buffet at "Ri Ben Cun". (See, we don't even bother to take the public transport cos 1) too hungry 2) lazy.) If you're a non-chinese or a chinese who don't know hanyupinyin.. The 3 alien-look-alike words are actually the name of the Japanese restaurant.

That place was awesome! Good food, patient waiters and waitresses, lots of varieties of jap food for you to choose from.... Almost everything you would source for in a typical jap eating place. We gobbled down the food speedily at the beginning like there's no tomorrow.... and naturally slowed down our consumptions later on because our stomachs were starting to bulge up... got full. Being normal, well functioning human beings, we ate till we were drowsy and unable to get our arses up to leave the restaurant when we're done..... aww... ;)

So after everything ended, it was about 5 to 6 in the evening already. We spent the whole afternoon in the restaurant eating like one group of hungry ghosts. The receipt printed out was a darn long list of all our foods, everything cost $200+ in total. But its a buffet yeahhh so its worth it. Ha!

Shall end my long post here. Pictures for today, if any of you have, just upload it here or send it to me and I'll upload it. Thanks y'all!!

you're worth it.

dear all,

congratulations to the winners and well done team republic.
i'd like to say how proud i am of everyone during the still-water competition.
we made no fuss and we were no eyesore.
we took things in our stride and we gave it all we could.
we had plenty of setbacks but we carried on.

now, someone told me this: "you have it in you and you don't need a piece of metal to prove that."

the same goes out to everyone else. it is a tough fight but with each other, we'll make it through with awesome memories to keep.

train hard for open-waters and let's keep the faith.

xoxoJIN
