obviously you people know you're training for the COMPETITIONS! haha, after the NUS Invitationals, here comes the Nationals!

Malaysia Lifesaving Competition

Hello all republic lifesavers,

On Nov1-2(Saturday and sunday) we will be going to malaysia for lifesaving competition. Please make yourself free on that few days. I hope that everyone will go for this trip as this is the FIRST time we going for oversea competition and is also a bonding trip for all.

We will most likely set off on friday evening time.

For those who are going, please pay $200 to peggy by AUGUST 31, no DELAY... So you all can start saving or working now to ge the money... Thanks...

OSIM TRIATHLON

hello peeps,
just something to share..
For those who do not know, both me and Jin participated on Osim Triathlon 2008 on last Saturday at East Coast Park . The both of us had great experience on this race . Although we participated on the mini category which comprises of 200m swim, 10km cycle and 2k run. It was indeed an eye-opener for us. As these was the first time that we are doing this.

We get to see the different walks of life . From a child of the age 8 to married women as well as grandmothers. And also the real triathletes. it was Awesome

So pictures to share after the race. Sadly, we didn't have any supporters to be our cameraman during our race .. SAD RIGHT? hehe.

Hello Peeps!
Haha..
Saw the blog that Yvonne wrote..

Makes me remember the good times that we shared..
The 8 of us, Chris, Me, Yvonne, Peggy, Marvin, Zheng Kai, Andy and Jeremy.
All of us really had fun throughout the days in Life Saving..
We make it this far by training hard together and we earned the certs that we got. LS 1-3 n BM!
We are now qualifed LIFESAVERS!
I'm really happy that we bonded quite well and work together as a team to reach for our goals.
Let's continue this spirit and bond well in this LifeSaving Team..

haha. sometimes it had been on my mind all the time and i'm thinking. "How on earth did i stay in lifesaving for so long? and to top the fact that i can't really swim AT ALL. last April 2007, i don't even know how to swim breast-stroke correctly, and not to mention that i can't swim freestyle at all. i couldn't forget, i was struggling? haha.

i thn recalled, what made me stayed on. and i'll find a smile on my face whenever i thought of the answer. you peeps are the reason. you peeps are where i find comfort in this big campus when i was alone in this institution.

people like Jin and Longfei especially, taught the eight of us,

Chris, Weisi, Peggy, Marvin, Zhengkai, Andy, Jeremy and me what we need to know for LS 1 2 3, and not to forget hiring Big Jeremy to coach us on BM. entitling us to entries of Lifeguards, Swimming Instructors, competitions and all.

NUS Invitational. i couldn't say how touched i felt when i saw the whole team practising and pushing themselves towards the limit for the different events. even though we hadn't get good grades, i believe with such efforts, we'll definitely score better for the next round.

next stop, Nationals!

HELLOOOO

ohmy, i can't believe i'm doing this. it's been great fun and pleasure to be in RP-lifesaving. From what i see, we have grown from a little small family to a relatively medium size or maybe "quite big" . but i guess, we will still be growing.

This year during January, we finally had our chalet. And i guess , everyone of us bonded quite well. SO I THINK I'M GONNA MAKE THE COMING ONE SOOOOONNNN!!! but any idea where shall we hold the chalet ?

NUS Invitationals 2008.

the season has begun.

so what if we didn't do as expected for NUS ivitationals? let bygones be bygones. drop it and move on. no point crying and wailing about it people. let us just learn from mistakes and make it right the next time around.

it was a saturday and there we sat, all geared and hyped up, spotting on us, our lastest suits/trunks/jammers and team shirts. we had a whole carton of 100plus to replenish our energy and more than enough food that we could stuff ourselves with. and so there we sat, looking all hot and fly...(ok, i'm just trying to sound stylo milo now la. haha!)

gary had decided that it'd be good exposure for us all to take up as many events as possible to gain experience and perhaps, to decide which event/s would suit us better for nationals. hence, each of us had quite a load that day and by the end of the day, we were pretty tired out, what with the scortching sun and slight drizzle.

anyways, we cheered like crazy, made friends, took plenty of photos and got excited one too many times because we saw people like aiktong from NUS breaking timing records and also because we saw our guys team swimming so fast for once. it was really amazing. though NUS invitational is an annual event, it's always a different experience.
